Peace International Foundation (PIF), a Hong Kong based non-profit organisation, actively advances United Nations peace initiatives through youth-centred education and community involvement.
PIF adopts a non-sectarian, non-political stance and advocates the understanding of peace and related issues, with a focus on freeing humanity from suffering, violence, discrimination and poverty.
PIF believes that achieving peace is not simply about tackling the symptoms of problems, but fighting the root of the cause. As such, the aim is to promote greater awareness of peace issues among the public at the grassroots level, particularly Hong Kong’s youth.
We regularly work together in close association with local, regional and international organisations and academic establishments to further develop the global peace-building process on a united front.
PIF is a platform recognised by the United Nations and European Union for promoting global peace. Since 2008, we are a member of the United Nations International Day of Peace NGO Committee, which works closely with the United Nations Department of Public Information, to promote Peace Day observances around the world.
